Wow! It's been a while since I posted a blog and so many things since then have happened. The good, the bad and the ugly. For starters lets take a look at health. Back in 2018 I was really working on building my brand Nature's Harmony Skincare and was doing well with posting and creating products. Well here comes winter 2018 when the real trouble started. I tore my rotator cuff while sleeping. Of all things would you believe could happen. No less it was my dominate armas I am righthanded. Here I never thought that such a thing ever happened while sleeping. Now I got to thinking, "is sleeping detrimental to your health?, lol. Fast forward, I thought it was just arthritis that I was experiencing in my arm the entire winter so I did not pay it much attention though I was in pain. Here comes Spring 2019. Didn't get any better. Went to the doctor and was told I tore it. All of this time I struggled to continue working on my products in pain and now I had to have surgery on July 11, 2019. That stopped me in my tracks from being creative and doing what I love, creating products. Needless to say I spent the entire year of 2019 in Physical Therapy and could not devote any time to building my brand, being creative and making products. During this time it was difficult for me to lather up with shower gels, soaps, shampooing and styling my hair. The one biggest thing for me is after showering is putting lotion or body cream on from head to toe. This have been a daily ritual for me since I was a young girl into my teens and even now as an adult. I never liked dry skin. Adding lotion or body cream to my skin was a daily ritual. I could not go out without having done this. It is just like you needing to breathe each day. So that was very frustrating in itself.
Fast forward to 2020. All the struggles that I went through because if this health issue I am finally back to doing what I love. Making products and building my brand. Though I felt at times depressed and defeated I never gave up. I am now able to use my arm and hand to keep my skin looking healthy and smooth to touch since I now have full range of motion back.
One thing we all know is that your skin is your largest organ and it demands attention. It longs for water to keep it feeling moist. It longs for body lotions and body creams to keep it from feeling dry, from cracking and feeling rough. "It longs for moisture."
Because I am a big advocate of keeping the skin looking at it's best, healthy and glowing Nature's Harmony Skincare was the reason for me launching and creating products and I wanted to share it with you.
I also realize that having organic/natural ingredients in your products can be detrimental to your health. Shea Butter, Coconut Oil, Cocoa Butter, Argan Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Essential Oils all makes a difference as to how your skin responds to what goes on it and goes directly in your pores. That is one major thing for me when it comes to what I put on my skin. I want all organic/natural ingredients and I am sure you want the same. This is what Nature's Harmony Skincare adheres to. I care about the ingredients in my products and I use them myself and I would not promote nor sell anything that I would not use. No longer do I seek to purchase from large companies after researching and finding out that some of the ingredients is harmful to the skin. Skincare products are made to help with dry skin, problematic dry patches, to retain moisture, keep the skin glowing and looking healthy.
Bath and Body products have always been of interest to me in a big way spending tons of money and having a bedroom dresser top full of products. Healthy skin is what I promote and the biggest organ is what I seek to satisfy with the products I make. Let's not forget eating healthy also helps. You have to feed the inside as well as the outside.
I hope you have enjoyed reading this blog as much as I have enjoyed writing it. Let's keep promoting healthy glowing skin from the inside out.
